The third “Infrastructure projects Bulgaria 2008 – Ecology and roads” conference was held on 11 and 12 March 2008 at Sheraton hotel and Inter Expo center, Sofia, organized by “Construction City” and “Dnevnik” newspapers. The event was within the frames of the “Bulgarian construction week” eighth exposition.
Accent in the forum was the news announced by the Deputy minister of regional development and public works Dimcho Mihalevsky about a loan from the World bank at the amount of 109 680 000 Euro to be made use of for a municipal infrastructure development project. The loan shall be divided into three main parts. In between 80 to 100 municipalities in Bulgaria may be called autonomous as they can rather successfully manage without the support of the state as well.
Main issues of the “Water supply and sewerage” draft Act and solving the problems of the sector and the implementation of infrastructure projects have been discussed. The participants in the conference are convinced that “Water supply and sewerage” Act is going to solve the problems of water supply and sewerage infrastructure ownership and shall create conditions for further development and attract serious investments. By this Act the government is making a clear step for sharing the responsibility with the municipalities.
“Winslow Developments” is a partner in the event within its corporative program for supporting Bulgarian business development.
