Legislation changes are required to support agricultural land commasation

Today at Sheraton Hotel has been  held Third conference “Investments in agricultural land 2008 – new commasation mechanisms”
 Participant at the conference agreed among several issues. Agricultural land becomes lucrative investment opportunity, in terms of land effectiveness optimization resulting from commasation.  In order land fertility to be insured, several prerequisites should be established. Agricultural land should be commasated, provided with well developed infrastructure,  maintained according good agricultural practices. It is of great importance, legislation conditions enabling long term investments to be founded, in order land quality to be sustained and increased .
According Svetoslav Bachev, Head of Winslow Agro Fund – business unit, specialized in agriculture production and investments in agricultural land, the business sector is facing two major challenges. High percentage of land separation as well as small size of individual plots at one side and at the other side – administrative and legislation obstacles.
